This new magazine focuses on working dogs of all breeds. Dogs on farms and ranches seriously earning their keep are the primary subject matter. Trials also are covered in depth, as they are a showcase for the dogs.

Articles include tips on training, veterinary care, nutrition, breed characteristics and genetics, stories of individuals, and how dogs are used in different situations on various stock. Breeders are encouraged to promote their dogs; trial producers are encouraged to advertise their events. All those who use the dogs as a functional livestock handling tool are encouraged to submit ideas.

The inaugural issue is free, and will be sent to every interested person. Early subscribers (until July 31, 2002) will receive two additional issues free. Anyone who would like to receive a copy or knows someone who should receive one, please contact the editor.
